In 1995 my father died of ALS, commonly referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease”. He had been a world class golfer; won his share of amateur tournaments and even played in the Masters, being paired with an 18-year old Jack Nicklaus. During his illness he received many resources from the Muscular Dystrophy Association for which our family is truly grateful. Each year for the past 11 years, the McManus ALS Golf Tourney has been held in memory of Dad by Christ Church in Mount Pleasant, SC. Click Here for this year’s tourney details.
Today, I have learned that I will be able to pay MDA back in some small way. Through the program known as “Augie’s Quest”, I will be producing a 20-city book tour to raise money for ALS research. The tour titled, “Freedom! The Business Owner’s Real Goal” involves seminars for business owners, prospective business owners and students who think that just getting a job may not be enough.
The exact cities are still being determined. If you have a strong entrepreneurial community in your city who would rally around this effort, please make a suggestion to me. And, we are still seeking a national Title Sponsor for the tour – a company whose stated goal is to support small business.
As things develop, watch this space for updates.

I’ve been browsing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the web will be much more useful than ever before.
